Bulldog Skin is a fast-paced comedy series about the fact that without
friends, High School can kill you (or at least make you wish you were dead).
Our main character Kyle gets through his days because he has his friends Ash and Vaughn to suffer
with him. Armed with nothing but their support, an odd outlook on life and an
inexpensive video camera, Kyle attempts to accomplish the heroic and survive
High School.
What is a Test Scene?
Watching the clips below, you may notice that they do not feel like finished products. They are not, in fact, finished products but rather samples designed to introduce characters, relationships, etc.; not to commit to a visual style.
Particularly with low-budget projects, test scenes are done with limited time and limited equipment (For instance...my Gone With The Wind crane shot had to be cut. Bummer.) On a test shoot you get the shots you need and move on before you lose the location, lose the light or the crew mutinies over a bagel crisis (it’s a long story that concerns cream cheese). As long as the ballpark idea comes across on screen, a test scene is doing its job.
So what we want to know is whether or not our characters and their stories interest you….hence the Audience Survey. So please take a look at these test scenes and let us know what you think. If you really like them, tell all your friends. If you deeply dislike them, well, it would be rude of you to share that with others—we’re trying to do something here! Okay. That’s it. You are now informed. Enjoy the test scenes:

Bulldog Skin is unique on several levels:
It is being produced entirely
on location in real high schools in Washington State. No Hollywood types
or sound stages for us. We are very locally-oriented and Seattle is our hometown
- we are creating a series that spills off the edges of your computer screen
and extends to the real Seattle scene. In fact, if you're ever in the Seattle area, you may just see some of our cast wandering around the Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Dizzy's, or The Hudson Theatre.
Another thing that sets us apart? the FANS are a big part of how we're going to pull this off. We need you. And we kinda want a big long fanlist to show to our actors, so they'll feel all loved and stuff. You may not know this, but actors? seriously needy people.
Please tell us what you think of our test scenes. We think they're pretty cool. We invite you to view them (above) and let us know what you think.
Thank You All!
